Gardenia essential oil is one of the most precious oils in the world and known for its rarity and heavenly aroma. It comes from the delicate organic Gardenia Flower, grown in the Andes on a special micro-climate, cultivated and treated with love to obtain a beautifully scented oil. The oil that is extracted is pure and unique gardenia enfleurage oil, containing a very high antioxidant capacity.
Due to the delicate nature of the Gardenia flower, Gardenia oil cannot be distilled like most essential oils. Other Gardenia fragrances in skincare are from Solvent-extracted Gardenia oil, most commonly used by the perfume industry and it is extracted by harsh chemical solvents and is entirely synthetic. So we're proud to say that we have one of the only organically-extracted Gardenia Oils in the world.
A now rare process, Florivera's organic Gardenia Essential Oil comes from a small grower in South America who extracts the essential oil by the ancient method of enfleurage, using only the fresh, fully opened flowers, pure local organic palm oil and organic alcohol derived from organic sugar cane. The entire process of extracting the Gardenia Essential Oil is done by hand using no heat and no harsh chemical solvents.
The notes of this precious oil have allowed us to create our beautiful, signature scent from the completely natural essence of the Gardenia flower, with absolutely no added artificial fragrances.
Actions attributed to Gardenia include calming irritability, cooling blood, reducing swelling, is very effective as a hemostatic agent, effective treating injuries to the muscles, joints, and tendons. It is used to treat infections, abscesses, jaundice, sputum, or stool. It is also used to treat anxiety or insomnia. It is also helpful in correcting menopausal imbalances reflected in insomnia and depression, nervous tension, headache, and dizziness.
